For RQF you will be able to gain insurance through any provider anywhere in the world. For accredited courses, our courses are fully accredited by International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine. This means that after this course you will be able to obtain public liability insurance through their insurance partners, enabling you to carry out the treatment on paying clients. Please note that it is your own responsibility to arrange your public liability insurance.

Why are your Diploma Courses shorter in duration to Colleges of further Education? All of our courses are intensive and comprehensive in design to prepare you for commercial practice. Peridot Academy of Beauty provides a fast-track system of training in small groups of students, who really want to learn, this speeds things up considerably. For accredited courses, although we cover the essential theory, much of the training is practical based. At home you are expected to undertake further study and do lots more practice, which you would otherwise do during your college time. For RQF, everything except your assignments is covered in centre. With us you are getting more personalised one to one tuition, whilst when attending a large college you may have to attend for up to 36 weeks and be in a class of up to 30 students. Colleges hours are also dependent on funding received and therefore are often much longer in duration.
-
What is the difference between a RQF and a Diploma? The difference between an RQF/NVQ and an accredited Diploma/CPD, is that an RQF is regulated through the government and therefore a nationally and internationally recognised QUALIFICATION of guaranteed standard and can be more attractive to a potential employer, or for those who would like to know they arefully qualified to a high standard. They vary from levels 1-4 and you can choose to do a full Qualification or Units of a particular qualification - which is a quicker and cheaper option. However, our accredited Diplomas completely insurable and valid in the UK and and therefore are perfect for those wishing to work as a mobile therapist or self employed. The choice is yours and we will be on hand to offer aftercare and support regardless of which route you wish to take.
-
Am I required to do Case Studies?Sometimes we may require students to perform case studies to ensure that they are competent before issuing a certificate. We know that homework is super grim, but not for something you have a passion for! At Peridot Academy of Beauty, we feel that you will get the most out of your career with careful monitoring and support. We also feel that this is important to keep our industry standards and wages high. Most case studies are to be completed within a time frame of 6 weeks, but you can get them done sooner if you wish!
-
What do I need to bring with me?Just yourself! We provide all products, tools and equipment needed for your course, unless otherwise stated. Please bring glasses/contact lenses if you usually wear them or need them for reading. Refreshments and snacks are provided free of charge, but please bring your lunch with you.
-
What should I wear?Ideally, in order to present a professional image of the industry and for hygiene reasons, we require you to wear a salon uniform or a dark clothing when attending training. Please ensure that you are suitably dressed to give and receive a treatment so that you are comfortable. Please wear flat, closed toe shoes (trainers are fine) and ensure that long hair is tied back. We advise you to remove all jewellery before attending courses to save it getting tangled or lost.
